Transnational Project Meeting 1 – Kick-off

After a long suspension of the project caused by COVID, we have finally managed to organize the first official Transnational Project Meeting. Due to pandemic situation, the meeting took place online.  

During the meeting the following points have been discussed:  

According to the new timetable, the Learning Training Teaching Events will take place in the following order: 

  • December 2020 – Poland 
  • March 2021 – Latvia 
  • April 2021 – Belgium 

Following the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, all the events will be organised online, preserving the predetermined assumptions if possible. 

Regarding Intellectual Output 1 (O1), the following dates and milestones have been accepted: 

  • December 2020 – Gathered data 
  • January 2021 – Course outline 
  • March 2021 Scripts + Start of production 
  • September 2021 – Production – end 
  • October – January 2021 – Testing 
  • May 2021 – Findings 

The work on O1 will also be accompanied by the production of the booklet for teachers (Intellectual Output 2 – O2), that will consist of: 

  • recommended topics for employability – summary 
  • instructions and additional exercises 
  • lessons learned. 

All the participants have been invited to the first Learning Training Teaching Event in Poland that is planned to take place on 7th to 9th December. It will be organized online and it will focus on the ICT for LSP – tools and techniques for online education for teaching languages for specific purposes. 

Based on the discussions which took place before the project launch, the questionnaire has been composed to research the needs of employers concerning language competences. Each team is supposed to ask 20 respondents using the following form:

The responses acquired from the questionnaire will serve as the basis for the choice of content included into the eLearning course (O1) and recommendations for teachers (O2). The responses of the questionnaire will be analysed during the Learning Teaching Training Event in Poland.
